As defined by the dictionary, a "short cut" is "a narrow path, the most direct route, a narrow passage connecting two streets." On this narrow path that the two characters in the book, one Palestinian and one Israeli, chose to anchor: the path of the few, who wants to sail the Ta'ayush. The Ta'ayush? "Living-together" in Arabic. It is also the name of a civil disobedience movement, born in 2000, whose aim to create connections Judeo-Arabic. In Cultural Crossings , Maximilian Le Roy and Soulman , we offer the testimony of two activists. One lost an eye open for those of his fellow citizens, the other is a parent mourning the tragic death of his wife's brothers.
